Basic Standards for the “fit” person

I believe everyone should have a goal, however big or small. Training for training is no fun and eventually will end up in no training.

Below are a few standards that I would expect a “fit” male or female to be able to perform. My clients work towards these without even knowing it sometimes as I believe mastering these can only improve their chances of achieving their personal goals. For some people it can be a long road to being able to complete the whole list but I look at it one step (or exercise) at a time.

Men:

0.5 times BW Turkish get up both arms

2 times BW deadlift

15 strict pistol squats per leg

20 strict dead hang pull ups

40 strict push ups

Women:

0.5 times BW Turkish get up both arms

2 times BW deadlift

10 strict pistol squats per leg

10 strict dead hang pull ups

20 strict push ups

So there you go, if your reading this and you can do some or all of these feats then congratulate yourself. If you cannot manage any of these then I would recommend you choose at least one to work towards on top of your current goals and try to master it. The more of these you can do the closer your goals will become I’m sure of it 🙂

If you need some help with how to train for any of these then ask away!
